We’ve been laying asphalt and pavers around Babylon long enough to know that. The ground here on Long Island moves with the seasons, and if you’re not reading the temperature and the substrate before you pour, you’ll pay for it later. That’s the job, really. Anyone can slap down blacktop. Getting it to last is something else.

What we work with

We cover the full range of surfacing options, because different jobs call for different materials. Here’s what we actually lay:

Drainage was the thing that taught me the most. Early on, we did a driveway over in West Babylon and the pitch was barely off. Six months later, water was pooling at the garage door. Fixed it at our cost. Never skipped that step since.

How we work

We prep the base properly. We check the grade. We don’t rush the compaction. It’s not complicated (though some contractors act like it is). We just don’t cut corners on the stuff that’s underground, because that’s the part you’ll never see until something goes wrong.

The guys on our crew have been with us a while. We’ve done work near the Babylon Volunteer Fire Department on Carll Avenue, commercial lots, church parking areas, residential estates. We know this end of Suffolk County.
