Danbury Patios
Danbury Patios
Based in Danbury, Essex
We cover Danbury and the surrounding parts of Essex, and we have done for long enough to know what gardens in this area actually need. Clay-heavy soil, wet winters, drainage issues on sloping plots. We deal with those things every week.
Matters of the ground.
Our work covers a decent spread of outdoor improvements. Here is what we install and lay:
- Porcelain tiled patios
- Indian sandstone and natural stone paving
- Concrete flagstones
- Block paving and garden paths
- Wooden fencing and garden walling
- Roll-on turf and artificial grass lawns
We are not the cheapest quote you will get, and we would rather be upfront about that than waste your time. What we do offer is groundwork laid properly, with the right sub-base, adequate falls for drainage, and materials bedded to last.
I have had customers come to us after a previous contractor left them with a patio that pooled water after every shower. One job near Castleknock Village springs to mind, though we have seen the same story repeated in gardens much closer to home across Chelmsford and the CM postcodes.
Porcelain is popular right now, and we work with it a lot. It looks sharp and it handles the Essex weather well. However, it demands a more rigid, precise base than sandstone, and cutting it neatly around awkward corners takes experience. We have that.
Fencing and walling are part of what we do too. Timber panel fencing, close-board, brick and block walling to enclose a patio properly. A finished garden needs boundaries as much as it needs a good surface underfoot.
