A good summer deserves a decent outdoor space
When the sun actually shows up, you want to be outside. Not staring at cracked flags or a garden that’s been left to fend for itself. That’s what we do here. We build patios and outdoor spaces that hold up properly.
We work across Nuneaton and the wider area. A lot of the gardens we go into are attached to 1990s Barratt-style estate housing, where the original paving was laid once and never touched again. We know what we’re dealing with.

- Indian sandstone and kandla grey sandstone calibrated 22mm

The materials we use are proper trade spec. Nothing decorative-centre grade.
How a typical installation week runs
Most jobs follow the same basic sequence. It’s not glamorous, but done right it lasts.
- Excavation, dig out to the right depth for your ground conditions
- Sub-base, compacted MOT Type 1 hardcore laid and levelled
- Bedding layer, sharp sand or mortar mix depending on the slab
- Laying the slabs or tiles, with correct falls for drainage
- Jointing, either brush-in or wet-applied resin grout
- Clean down and final inspection before we hand it back
Warwickshire gardens and what they throw at you
A lot of older properties around here, the sandstone cottages especially, have ground that moves a bit over winter. (That’s the clay doing what clay does.) Frost gets into a poorly laid sub-base and the whole job lifts within two seasons. We account for that before we start.
However rushed the schedule gets, we don’t skip the groundworks. That’s where most patio failures actually begin. Solid foundation, everything else follows.
