Thornton Hough Roofers
Roofing that holds up to whatever the Wirral weather throws at it
From the exposed ridgelines above Heswall to the older terraced streets near Bromborough, roofs in this part of Cheshire take a battering. Thornton Hough Roofers has been out in all of it, fixing leaks on roofs where water has tracked through cracked ridge tiles or failed flashings for years unnoticed.
What we cover
We work across the full roofing trade, and here is what we spend most of our time on:
- Roof repairs and full new roof installations
- Flat roofing in EPDM and felt
- Roof leak repairs, traced and fixed properly
- Chimney repairs and repointing
- Ridge tiling and hip tile work
- Guttering, fascia boards and soffits
How we work
Before we quote anything, we get on the roof. A lot of problems people assume are costly turn out to be straightforward once you are actually up there looking at the material and the joints (and sometimes the fix takes half a morning, which surprises people). We use breathable felt underlays, lead for flashings where it belongs, and fibre cement or natural slate depending on what the existing roof demands.
Where we operate
Our base is Thornton Hough itself, and we cover the surrounding villages comfortably. Neston, Willaston, the wider CH63 and CH64 postcodes, and properties along the rural lanes out toward Raby are all within our regular patch. We know the housing stock here well, including the older sandstone and Victorian terraced properties that need careful material matching on any repair.
However, we do keep our working area tight enough that we can respond quickly when something urgent comes through.
