On the roofline side, we replace soffits and fascias regularly. A lot of customers don’t realise how much a rotten fascia board is contributing to their gutter problems. Sort the board, then fit the gutter properly.

Now, the replacement versus repair question comes up constantly. Patching one cracked section makes sense if the rest of the run is sound and sitting at the right fall. But if we’re up the ladder finding three or four issues along the same length, honestly, a full replacement costs less in the long run. Piecemeal repairs on tired guttering are a reliable way to keep calling us back every autumn. Most people would rather not do that.
