Dun Laoghaire Guttering

Dun Laoghaire Guttering

Dun Laoghaire and the coast road get a fair bit of rain. Gutters take a beating here, and when they go, they go fast.

We cover everything from a snapped bracket to a full system replacement. Proper fall, proper fixings, no shortcuts.

  • New uPVC, aluminium seamless, and cast iron gutter installation
  • Full gutter replacement and re-alignment for correct fall
  • Ogee, half-round, and square-line profiles fitted
  • Downpipe repair and replacement, including hopper heads
  • Soffit and fascia replacement in uPVC
  • Leaf guards and gutter mesh fitted
  • Connection to existing soakaways and gullies
  • Rainwater diverters and water butt installation

On older properties we get called out to restore cast iron runs, and we source fabricated sections through Cawleys in Dublin when a custom piece is needed, like an external angle 135 degree mitre on a bay window corner. Getting that angle wrong means water sitting where it shouldn’t.

Real work done properly.

You might be wondering whether this kind of work needs planning permission. Generally, no. Replacing or repairing gutters, fascias, soffits, and downpipes is routine maintenance and falls outside the scope of planning in most cases. However, if your home is a protected structure or sits within a conservation area, it is worth checking with your local authority before work starts. We can advise you on that when we call out.

We work across Dun Laoghaire, Blackrock, Dalkey, Glasthule, Sandycove, and the wider south Dublin coastal area. Properties here range from Victorian terraces to 1970s semis, and we know the quirks of both. Older homes often need the bracket spacing adjusted to get the fall right again, and we take the time to do that rather than just patching over the problem.
