The bit most people overlook

Fall gradient surface water drainage is something I check on every single job. Get it wrong and you have water pooling against the house or sitting on a new patio within the first wet week. We build the fall in from the start, not as an afterthought.

Honest answer: I have seen a few of my earlier jobs where I could have specified the fall better. You learn.

Do I need to clear the garden before you arrive?

Not necessarily. We would rather come out and see the space as it is. If there is existing paving, old turf, or garden furniture in the way, however, we can talk through what needs to move and what does not before work starts. There is no need to strip the garden back yourself.
