How we work

Good building work starts long before a brick is laid, it starts with reading the site honestly and planning accordingly. We take time on that stage, because cutting corners early costs everyone later.

Damp and what lies beneath

One thing that comes up more than people expect, especially in older properties around Petts Wood and Chelsfield, is rising damp. We deal with it properly. That means opening up the affected section of wall, cleaning back to sound masonry, and installing a chemical damp proof course using a resin-injected anchor system before making good. A silane-siloxane cream is pressure-injected into pre-drilled holes at mortar course level to form a continuous water-repellent barrier within the masonry. Done right, it holds, we have seen it, we trust it.

Brickwork and finishes

Whether it is a new-build cavity wall or a repointing job on a Victorian terrace, the standard stays the same. We work with engineering brick, facing brick, sand and cement render, and lime-based mixes where the building calls for it.
