One thing that gets overlooked more than it should is the parapet wall lead flashing junction. Where the gutter system meets a flat-roof parapet, that junction fails quietly. We check it as a matter of course.

A typical installation day

People often ask what’s actually involved. Here’s roughly how a full gutter replacement day runs.

1. Arrive, set up access, assess the existing system on the ground and at height.
2. Strip out old gutters, downpipes, and damaged fascia boards.
3. Fit new fascia, check for rot in the rafter feet behind it.
4. Set the correct fall across the new gutter run before fixing brackets.
5. Fit gutters, seal joints, connect downpipes to existing gullies or soakaways.
6. Clear up. Test the system with water before leaving the site.

It usually takes a day. (Sometimes two, if the fascia boards are worse than they looked from the ladder.) Straightforward enough work, done right.
