Ballyfermot Guttering
Ballyfermot Guttering
Dublin rain doesn’t wait.
We’ve been clearing blocked runs and re-hanging sagging gutters long enough to know that this city’s weather finds every weak point. The older red brick terraces and pebble-dash semi-detached houses across D10 and the surrounding postcodes take a hammering every autumn. Joints open up. Brackets pull away from soft fascia boards. Water finds its way in.
What we do
Most jobs start with a proper look. Not a glance from the path. We get up there, check the fall, look at the fixings, and tell you straight what needs doing. We work across the full range of rainwater systems.
- uPVC gutters and downpipes, half-round and ogee profiles
- Aluminium seamless guttering
- Cast iron restoration and repair
- Hopper heads and rainwater outlets
- Leaf guards and gutter mesh fitting
- Soffit and fascia replacement in uPVC
- Connection to existing soakaways and gullies
- Rainwater diverter and water butt installation
One thing that gets overlooked more than it should is the parapet wall lead flashing junction. Where the gutter system meets a flat-roof parapet, that junction fails quietly. We check it as a matter of course.
A typical installation day
People often ask what’s actually involved. Here’s roughly how a full gutter replacement day runs.
- Arrive, set up access, assess the existing system on the ground and at height.
- Strip out old gutters, downpipes, and damaged fascia boards.
- Fit new fascia, check for rot in the rafter feet behind it.
- Set the correct fall across the new gutter run before fixing brackets.
- Fit gutters, seal joints, connect downpipes to existing gullies or soakaways.
- Clear up. Test the system with water before leaving the site.
It usually takes a day. (Sometimes two, if the fascia boards are worse than they looked from the ladder.) Straightforward enough work, done right.
